The Concept

The Bridging A Connection is a playback performance conducted by NYC Queer Playback Theater & NY Mandarin Playback. The concept is bridging a connection between the Chinese and American LGBTQ+ communities.

The Symbol

After I had a couple of meetings with the team, we concluded elements would be shown in the poster design. To visualize the "bridging connection" concept and the rainbow element to present the LGBTQ+ community.

The Design Process

From brainstorming, I had a few ideas that presented a connection: ribbon, bridge, rainbow bridge, etc. Ultimately, one simple idea came to me - point, line, and surface. Points represent different groups/people that connect through lines and become surface as a unit community.
